I love to explore a theme, idea or feeling across several pieces. It feels like disappearing down a rabbit hole and I often don't understand the essence of what I'm discovering until I'm done with the series. I've come to understand this mystery quality of the adventure of each series and deeply appreciate it. My hope is that you can join me on that adventure and it will bring light and blessings to your life.
Inspiring a child like sense of exploration and wonder as I discover the tree characters in each work, I invite you to wander with me in these imaginary arborscapes.
Blessed to journey deeply with trees, I have trekked through forests on 5 continents, learning to find and re-find my essence self by bowing to the wisdom and ancient presence of trees.
Wahaka Walls and Windows quilts together the gift of my healing through loss and the blessings of meaningful closure.

After the loss of a dear friend, this series is my exploration of how opportunities and obstacles are sometimes interchangeable. I've learned that loss can carve out beauty, and death reminds us how to live better. I've discovered that walls can really be windows. If you've ever lost a soul mate, you know the path to healing is baffalingly heart and gut wrenching.
But there's also the beauty of the love shared that remains or perhaps even deepens and grows more dear. It is this deepening love that this series celebrates.
These mini noods are a fun way of celebrating the beauty of the female body and especially the erotic enchantment of the female hip. Inspired by the work of the late photographer Ruth Bernhardt, I hope these ignite appreciation for the perfection of our body, Luscious hips and all!
Joni Mitchell is such a profound influence in my life. Her music and art continue to touch me so deeply with her stirring lyrics, versatile range, humor and irreverence. As a fellow Canadian, she's always felt like a sister.
A map of consciousness, the body tells a story, many stories. Our culture's obsession with body standards, most women's need to conform to those standards, and the sad reality that we are resourcing our self worth from being accepted for our bodys' conformability, disturbs the innocence of that story and our appreciation for the beauty and sacredness of this temple that we are blessed to call home.
I am fascinated by the ebb and flow of consciousness. The ways we see and un-see, remember and forget, discover and then deny.
This veiling and unveiling is awareness revealing itself in layers.
Using subtle glazes, forthright mark making and collage, I delight in the interplay of serendipity and design. Guided by curiosity and devotion, I tease out the mystery from between the veils.
Everland is a series that explores blending tangible and intangible presence. The moment of slipping from wakefulness into sleep and yet not being fully in either domain.
Much of the inspiration for these landscapes came from driving along highways taking me from one place to another. In and of themselves, the views were not the point of the journey. Yet, the photographs I took have all become important reminders of the time space continuum we think of as travel.
